THE ‘FAKE’ CHEESE BREAD THAT IS BOOMING ON THE WEB: NO MILK, NO EGG, GLUTEN FREE AND DELICIOUS!

Despite the lack of milk or cheese, the bread tastes wonderful. It is gluten and egg-free as well, and its main ingredient are baroa potatoes. If you can’t find them, you can use yams or sweet potatoes.

Here’s how to prepare the delicious homemade bread:

You will need:

  • 5-6 medium-sized baroa potatoes
  • 4 cups of sweet flour
  • 1 cup of regular flour
  • 1 cup of sour tea or hot coconut oil
  • ½ a cup of hot water
  • Salt to taste

Preparation and use:

Cook the baroa potatoes in water until they soften, then mash them to a puree. Now, add some salt and oil in the puree and continue mixing, then finally add the water. Mix until you get a homogenous dough, then make small balls from it. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180F for 40 minutes. Put the bread in afterwards and bake it – the best way to know when the bread is ready is to stick a toothpick in it – if it comes out clean, you can take it out and eat it. Serve the bread with some fennel and a hot cup of cinnamon tea and enjoy!
